There was also Sun Ra, which makes for surprisingly good dinner music.
We then met up with Mike, Seth, and Rion at Oldies Night at the Knockout. Took some photo booth pictures and had a great time.
After a long day calming the wealthy masses at Tartine on Saturday, Seth & I cabbed it to the Richmond for Melissa's birthday.
Walking into Trader Sam's, Seth & I were greeted by the sight of the Sterling (Says) dudes including...Sean Moon, who was on a surprise visit. Since it's an awesome tiki bar, to drink I had a Rasta Man, recommended by the cocktail waitress, which was layered red-gold-and-green and had a satisfying umbrella in it. We walked in the freezing June cold five blocks to Lucas and Melissa's house to play Wii. I drank a single single-malt scotch and watched Seth and Sean look ridiculous playing Wii boxing. I had a little beginner's luck with Wii Tennis but soon realized that Wii is not for me.
Sunday I was mellow, and lazy. We went to Weird Fish for brunch for Alex's birthday, treated like royalty by the sweet waitress Nic as usual. Alex had just come back from Tijuana from playing Ladyfest with his band Drowning With Our Anchors and he and the rest of the dudes drank a thousand mimosas. I had coffee, I wasn't feeling so great so I went home and spent the rest of the day watching movies & reading manuscripts.
